Installing SmartView on Windows

To install SmartView on a Windows device, a security certificate must be generated and then downloaded to the device.

Note: SmartView certificates are generated by APX. Please contact APX if you require certificates to be generated.

For Windows PCs or tablets, selecting a certificate will open the Windows Certificate Import Wizard. Completing the provided steps will install the certificate and allow SmartView access using any compatible modern browser except Mozilla Firefox. Installation of SmartView certificates for Mozilla Firefox has its own unique set of procedures.

Note: APX recommends using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for using SmartView on Windows devices. While Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer can be used, they may not perform at optimal levels.

SmartView Certificates are password protected. This password must be entered during certificate installation, and is provided to you by APX.
