Configuring SmartInspect Settings

SmartInspect's Admin Portal allows users to configure settings for the SmartInspect application. SmartInspect settings can be accessed by selecting Settings Settings, within the SmartInspect SmartInspect tab.

Default Inspection Type (Recurring Inspections)

This value determines which inspection type will be selected by default when scheduling recurring inspections. When a SmartInspect user goes to schedule a recurring inspection, the inspection type will default to the selected option: this selection can be overriden by the user.

Default Inspection Frequency

This value determines the inspection frequency that will be applied by default to an inspection request that has no frequency explicitly set by the user. This value affects the inspection frequency that is pre-selected during inspection creation, and will also determine what date is pre-selected when scheduling a next inspection date (if calendar view is enabled). In both cases, the default value can be overriden by a user-entered value.

To set a default inspection frequency, an amount of time (expressed in months) should be entered in this field.

Default Number of Days for Re-inspection

This value determines the default number of days that should elapse before a re-inspection is scheduled for a failed inspection. This value affects the date that is pre-selected when scheduling a re-inspection upon completing a failed inspection in SmartInspect. This setting will also determine the date that is pre-selected when scheduling a re-inspection through the Inspection History in CityScape Admin. This default value can be overriden by a user-entered value.

To set a default number of days for re-inspections, an amount of time (expressed in days) should be entered in this field.
