Adding PDF Documents to a Building Information Plan

SmartCapture allows users to import documents—saved in PDF format—and attach them to a building information plan: users can quickly add reference documents (e.g. MSDS documents) to a building plan. In iOS 11, users can import documents stored to the device, or to a cloud storage service like iCloud or Google Drive, using the Files browser. PDF documents can also be imported into SmartCapture from the Safari browser using the Arrow and Square button Share Sheet. Documents can also be imported from most Cloud Storage providers like Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, or from Email attachments, using the Share Sheet.

Documents can be attached to any Tap to Choose Document form field. If imported into SmartCapture using the Files browser, documents can be added directly to the field. If imported using the Share Sheet, the document will be placed in the Document Gallery. The Document Gallery displays all of the documents and document fields within the entire building plan. These documents can be attached to a Tap to Choose Document form field by tapping the Plus button, selecting Building Record Document, and then tapping the desired document.
