To Import a Document from Dropbox

This procedure details the steps in SmartCapture for importing a document from Dropbox into a building information plan.
Note: To import a document from Dropbox, the device must be signed in using the Dropbox iOS app. Importing into SmartCapture using the Dropbox browser interface may have a different procedure.
  1. In Dropbox, select the desired file
    The selected file will open.
  2. In the top-right, tap the Triple Dot button
  3. In the displayed menu, tap Export
    A Share Sheet will appear.
  4. Tap Open In
    A second Share Sheet will appear.
  5. Tap Copy to SmartCapture
    A SmartCapture Import window will open.
  6. Select Import
    A list of currently synced-down buildings will appear.
    Trouble: If the desired building is not in the displayed list, it may not be synced down. Exit the import process and re-open SmartCapture. Then, sync down the desired building before re-trying the document import.
  7. In the displayed list, tap the desired building
    A dialog will appear.
  8. Tap Yes
    A document name field will appear.
  9. Enter a document name
  10. Tap OK
A document has been successfully imported into a building information plan from Dropbox.
